Sheng Puerh is a rare type of tea that is crafted from freshly picked tea leaves that are meticulously sorted and graded. It undergoes a unique post-fermentation process that allows it to mature over time, much like a living organism. This results in a robust flavor profile, with the brew boasting a light to bright yellow-green hue.

Brewing
Traditional Method
Vessel: Aged tea requires a yixing teapot.
Water Temperature: 95-100°C (203-212°F).
Brewing Time: 10-30 seconds.
Steps:
- Rinse and warm the teapot/gaiwan and cups.
- Break off a small piece of tea from the cake (if using a cake). 5-8 grams.
- Rinse the tea leaves with a quick infusion.
- Brew and serve.
- For each additional steeping increase time by 5-15 seconds.

Modern Method
Any suitable vessel.
Water Temperature: 100°C (212°F).
Brewing Time: 4-5 minutes.
Steps:
- Break off a small piece of tea from the cake (if using a cake).
- Place tea in the teapot/mug.
- Rinse the tea leaves with a quick infusion.
- Steep and enjoy.
