Moonlight Yue Guang Bai White Tea Loose Leaf

With silvery edges reflecting the moon and dark sides representing the night sky, Yue Guan Bai, or Moon Light White Puerh, is a rare and unique white tea. Its special production method sets it apart from the traditional six tea categories, with some considering it white tea and others puerh. The fresh leaves are gently withered under moonlight instead of sunlight, unlike typical puerh. This slow withering leads to mild oxidation, giving the brewed tea a black tea-like aroma. The tea darkens with each infusion, while the dry leaves carry floral, woody, and hay notes. The brewed tea offers a smooth, syrupy feel with a subtle nectar sweetness.

Traditional Method

Teapot/Gaiwan: Porcelain gaiwan.
Water Temperature: 90°C (200°F).
Brewing Time: 30-60 seconds.
Steps:
- Warm the gaiwan and cups.
- Add 1-2 teaspoons of tea.
- Brew and pour into cups.

Сold Brew Method
- Rinse the tea leaves with plain, clean water.
- Use a ceramic or glass jug. Add 2-3 teaspoons of tea and fill it with cold, filtered water.
- Place the jug in the refrigerator to infuse for 4-12 hours.
- Enjoy the mild, and invigorating beverage.
