- Place mini cake in the teapot/mug.
- Steep and enjoy.
Traditional Method (Gongfu)
Vessel - ideally a Yixing teapot.
Water Temperature: 95-100°C (203-212°F)
Brewing Time: 10-30 seconds.
Steps:
- Rinse and warm the teapot/gaiwan and cups.
- Rinse the mini cake with a quick infusion. This is done to saturate the leaf with water and allow it to decompress.
- Brew and serve.
- With every extra steeping, extend the brewing time by 10 to 15 seconds.
Puerh tea can be steeped up to 20 times.
Experiment with the amount of tea leaves and steeping time to find your preferred strength of brew.
Note: Each tea piece is individually wrapped to maintain shape and freshness. Please remove the wrapper before brewing.
K
Kim A young sheng that isn't punchy or "sharp" on the stomach. Flavors and aromatics of peach, lychee, rambutan, sweet herbs, and bright arbor notes.
This is a nice introduction to sheng if you're not accustomed to drinking it, or, if you've had a bad experience with other shengs.
The mini cakes are pressed into beautiful flower shapes with the same Chinese characters found on the wrapper.
