Traditional Method (Gongfu Cha) Teapot/Gaiwan: Use a small teapot or gaiwan. Water Temperature: 90°C (196°F). Brewing Time: 15-30 seconds for the first infusion, gradually increasing the time for subsequent infusions. Steps: - Warm the teapot/gaiwan and cups with hot water. - Break 1-2 little squares of tea from the brick and add to the vessel. - Rinse the leaves with a quick infusion and discard the water. - Pour water over the leaves and cover. - Pour the tea into cups and enjoy.
Modern Method Teapot or Mug with Infuser: Use a teapot or mug with an infuser. Water Temperature: 90°C (196°F). Brewing Time: 2-3 minutes.
